This was a mini project that I started on the Mac in Xcode when Swift was still in Beta and SpriteKit was in its infancy. I was trying to work out how to use the Tile maps (created in Tiled) that I was working on for Paradroid. I started to look at creating a collision layer with the object layer in Tiled. While I was in debug mode I basically drew red lines around the maps that represented areas I couldn’t get to. In a moment of madness I looked at what was on the screen and turned the lines blue and added a Pac Man style sprite and moved it around a bit like in the original game. I then added the Ghosts sprites and made them do very simple AI to chase our little yellow hero. To finish I added circles to pickup as you traversed the maze.
Unfortunately I cant locate the original source code for the game. Even if I did, I would imagine that it wouldn’t compile as Swift is now at version 4 and SpriteKit has moved on so much. This is a project that I might resurrect for fun one day. Although I think I would have to change the graphic style a bit to avoid court cases. 🤔
